What’s a lesson you’ve learned recently that shifted your perspective?
Sadie was my love, my best friend who had a big black nose. More than that she taught me how to love without any filters. and yes if you look hard enough you will see she was also amazing dog not only was she a dog but she was a dog who loved ME. She loved me without any question.
She was her happiest always when I arrived home. She had a happy bark? She would get all up in my face barking but her little face had the biggest smile. She thought she was funny? Even without being funny she was? Just that kind of love thing or maybe it was just her way?

Sadie only had one eye working.
But look she is smiling here! When she first arrived she was a happy girl. She had come up from West Virginia on an over night road trip. I took on the last part of her road trip to drive down to RHODE Island to meet her.
When I first saw here I looked at her sad sack little body as she was being groomed. I think she looked me square in her eye “so can we just get out of this place already?”
She was raised as a country girl; barefoot, messy fur and always wearing her last dinner all over her face. That was her rule and I sorta wished I had a rule as loud and brassy as that?”
She has been gone for 2 years. was not herself. Tummy troubles? It was a Saturday so I brought her to the office which ran a pet emergency vet hospital. Having just had the surgery to repair my hand I was told not to use that hand. There was a woman who picked up her crate and carried her inside. I knew I was going to lose here that day. She said it with her eyes. after prodding and poking as gentle as the could I was given the news. I held my head up and gave Sadie as much dignity. I held her tight as the injection went inside her rapidly beating heard. As she flew away I said first you meet Sugar then Devo and I remembered each cat by name from Myla and Pretty to our little Princess. Then she was gone. Godspeed my best girl ever!
2 years since you left but you’re still inside of my heart.
Love is Love. Miss you more today than yesterday even though I ve gotten 2 little girls- Thelma and Louise. They are Yorkies. I know you like that if you could ever stop by to visit even just say hi they hear about you all the time. They try and. know exactly what you’d be up to.
Remember the movie I made of you on gabapentin. almost as funny as the time you found and ate a roach . Your eye. It was wild. I begged you never to tell anyone about it? I guess you can tell anyone you want. I thought I was going on the. Book of BAD BRENDA. I didn’t so it’s ok if you need to talk. Yeah
So I guess tomorrow we will visit the dead people. It’s tradition. Do you want to go? Ok talk then my sweet little girl. Love you more than time itself.
That big black nose always makes me cry. Beep beep beeeeereep
