LITTLE WHITE CHEVETTE allegedly

I once owned a little white Chevy Chevette. Yes it was a poor college student/ mom of 3 car. The paint peeling off the hood… and other parts of the car? Yet it was still white with gray primer mostly. Allegedly

Mine looked nothing like this. lol allegedly

Maybe owned it for a year? I don’t recall it being a long-term junker. What I do recall is it was created before windows had defoggers. We had many major ice storms that year. 1984-89 ish? The ice being SO THICK no matter how long you left it running, the ice still refused to melt. The only option was to pay the exorbitant fee and take the car through the car wash. BUT, that too was soon stopped after its sheet of ice from a newly cleaned car slammed into an employee causing a severe injury.

Thus. Those who could not afford a ‘luxury’ sedan with a rear widow defogger to melt the ice had to use boiling water….lots and lots of boiling water. The only thing was it was a very rare winter? Like 1 million years all in one? The ice event also happened multiple times that winter. I unfortunately owned one of the cheapest economy cars known to woman, a Chevy Chevette.

That hatchback was a killer collecting ice.

Another thing of significance occurred when I owned this car. The brake lights didn’t always shut off. I would have to go and check every time I parked the car. NOT Allegedly

Bought a lot of these!

I guess the most epic random thing I can claim for my very own lifetime lesson was WHAT I discovered after a flat tire. WHAT ITEM DID I DISCOVER INSIDE OF THE TIRE??? The rear passenger side tire…..

My father convinced my brother to sell me this car for a few hundred dollars(memory serves it cost me $600). Dad being a safety Dad, had the old balding flat tires replaced not brand new but ones with more tread. Guess the price was epic too because my brother installed them too! He had a tire machine thing. The kind that took off the rubber, replaced and the balanced the rim too. SO the replacement tires, including rims and rubber were free! I scored big at the time because even a clunker car without a running engine were over my budget! It was very sweet that the family discount was given!!! Allegedly You know a discount in a family is sometimes not really a good deal?

The rear passenger tire constantly was low on air. Never flat but I would give it air every so often, Still continued to get leaky or near flat tires, especially passenger rear. I had a favorite filling station where air was free.( never will find a free air pump nowadays!) Dad was always the one who I called when my car wouldn’t start or it had a flat. Family really helped each other then? Allegedly I really loved and wished I thanked the family more? Allegedly Yes. ❤️💋🙌 Think that over? Knowing what I do now why wasn’t my spidey tingley sensors up? WHY?

The day of the memorable flat tire Dad (and Mom too allegedly) were vacationing on a cruise. They enjoyed life. My younger brother, Peter, (RIP) came to yank the tire off and put on the donut spare…. This time the Chevette’s tire was flat! Really flat. No filling it with air. It also appeared something metal was protruding through the tire. Allegedly. Something big enough to cause the need for either a tube or a plug. In any way it necessitated removal of the tire from the car. There was a screw driver with a long handle inside the tire? The item was wedged between the metal rim and the rubber. It measured long enough to fit snugly. Who would accidentally leave a screwdriver inside a tire?

A BLOWOUT OF A REAR PASSENGER TIRE ON THE HIGHWAY SPEED LIMIT OF 65MPH COULD HAVE BEEN FATAL?! I had 3 kids seat belted in that car?! Plus a screwdriver with a Phillips head neatly wedged inside the tire. Allegedly. It was waiting for the right moment to blowout the tire. Thru the Grace of God it never did.

My alleged imagination still gets me thinking about how this tool, an ordinary screwdriver was allegedly placed into the rear wheel of the only transportation of a single mother of three? Allegedly How? Why? I don’t believe it was an accident. Allegedly

Perhaps the real question to be asked is why? Imagine if I hit a bridge joint (pothole) allegedly on route 495 at a speed of 65 mph…..

“what would happen if I left this large screwdriver right here?” Hahaha never really allegedly thinking of the catastrophe of sequences which could allegedly occur after the tire blew out….allegedly of coarse? Was it deliberately done? Carry the weight/wait of a big secret gets hard? Allegedly

It could’ve been a very bad ending? An alleged attempted accidental accident, killing my children and myself. Yet it didn’t happen, and I believe it was only because of an angel said a prayer for me and my babies on that particular day? There’s no other reason. 🥲🥁💋

SERIOUSLY HOW WOULD A LARGE PHILLIPS SCREW DRIVER END UP INSIDE MY TIRE?
